workshops

Workshops are generally short , reasonably priced small group affairs that are targeted at a specific photography area. They focus on a limited number of essential skills so that maximum improvement from a small window of opportunity can be made.
Landscape Workshop - Involves up to 2-6 people in actual landscape shooting with your own camera - main topics involve lighting, composition and camera settings - 1 hour - $40/pp
Notes: Suits all camera types from phones to DSLR's

Animals and Birds Workshop - Involves up to 2-6 people in actual shooting with your own camera - Main topics include lighting , positioning , camera settings - Animals are more active early so be prepared for an early rise too! - 1 hour - $40/pp

Notes: Specific animals may prove difficult without longer lenses or zoom capabilities but if you are prepared to learn the principles and practice on easier subjects then you will benefit and may even be motivated to "upgrade" your camera at some point.

Camera knowledge Workshop - Involves 2-10 people - Learn how to control your camera better for better results - Auto mode is NOT the way forward. - Main topics include - Depth of Field ; Shutter Speed ; ISO - 1.5 hours - $40/pp

Notes: As each camera has differing ways of accessing settings it is important you are familiar with at least finding things like ISO;Aperture;ShutterSpeed;Continuous or Burst mode. If you camera does not support such things (check your manual) then you will still learn plenty if you are thinking of upgrading to a more capable camera.

Custom Workshops -1 to 4 people - Suggest a subject, e.g. wildflowers and we can create a workshop that focuses on getting better results. Topics are similar to other workshops because photographic principles apply to all subject matter. - 1hr - $50/pp
Notes: Most cameras are suitable provided the subject is not fairly small and mobile.
